
Title tags are the first factors a search engines read at the pages of your website. Your tag optimization helps search engines and visitors find out what's each page about. To have a successful strategy in search engine optimization, you need to decide how to write the tags that make a difference.
Importance of Optimization?
Your title tag optimization tactic will win short term and long term traffic if you write for both visitors and search engines. Day after day, search engines like what visitors like and dislike what visitors dislike. Write natural tags and keep search engines in mind while you avoid spamming search engines.
What's in it for Visitors?
When a searcher looks for information in search engines, she's taken to result pages where usually 10 web pages are introduced, with the content of title tag, description meta tag and the URL. If your webpage shows an attractive topic there, it could persuade visitors to click on your link.
In tag optimization, you should keep page titles short and to the point. Don't repeat your keywords or key phrases more than necessary in an unnatural way. Title tags should be informative enough more than anything else.
Description tag plays an important role as well. If your persuasive title and relevantly informative description are highly related, the searcher will move the cursor of her mouse on your title and ... CLICK!
What's in it for Search Engines?
Search engines see your title before anything else on your web pages. Use the keywords of your web page at your tags. The closer your keywords to the beginning, the more likable title you have for search engines.
Don't disintegrate your key phrase. Always write it as it is. As tag optimization is important in your SEO tactics, you should create a page title that specifically explains the content of that page. All title tags should be highly relevant to the content of their pages.
For better title tag optimization, make sure you place every page's title within its tags in the source code.
Last Word about Titles
Each page of your website has got a different content. So, the title of each individual page should be different. Otherwise, you will not help search engines and Internet searchers cannot easily find the content they are looking for at your website.
The reason is that they expect the page title reflect the content it has while you've identified all those pages the same as other ones!
Even some famous companies use the name of the company as the tags of all their pages at their sites. This is very wrong and they need to perform the title tag optimization we've introduced on this page.
The title tags tell you and search engines what's in that page. Keep in mind, the title of each page should be unique.
