How To Be Sexually Empowered

<p>With all the bombardment of sex in media, it can be confusing for women to determine what it means to be sexually empowered. Sexual empowerment means you respect your needs, realize your desires, and accept the sexual aspect of yourself.</p>
<p>Many women are taught to believe they shouldn’t be sexual and that only men have sexual needs. This causes confusion and women learn not to enjoy sex or they repress their desires. Often women continue life without ever achieving an orgasm. All of this can be changed and women can enjoy a sexually fulfilling life.</p>
<p>The first step in becoming sexually empowered is to understand you are a sexual being. It’s completely natural to have sexual feelings and you should embrace that. If it wasn’t for sex we wouldn’t be here! Meditation can help you in changing your limiting beliefs. When you meditate, you’ll lower your brainwaves so you can easily tap into your subconscious mind. While in a meditative state, visualize yourself as a beautifully confident and sexual woman.</p>
<p>Every time you catch yourself having a negative thought about your body or your sexual feelings, stop those feelings immediately. Then replace it with feelings of love and acceptance. Accept yourself for having sexual feelings. It’s okay.</p>
<p>Many women haven’t seen every part of their bodies. To embrace your body, you have to see and love your body. Lay on your bed, take a mirror and peer between your legs. Feel yourself. This area is the core of your sexuality. Learn to love it.</p>
<p>This part of your body is just as beautiful as the rest. Don’t be ashamed of it and don’t shy away. Some women who have done this exercise feel overwhelmed with feelings of empowerment.</p>
<p>Growing up, many of us were taught that sex was wrong or sinful. Children were reprimanded for masturbating then as they age, they become confused and hold negative feelings towards sex and their own bodies. How can it be wrong to touch your body? To change those beliefs you have, you must train your mind to believe the opposite. Begin by self pleasuring. Take time when you’re alone and won’t be disturbed. Feel yourself and look for spots that feel most pleasurable. Don’t focus so much on having an orgasm. Instead become accustomed to touching yourself and giving in to feelings of pleasure.</p>
<p>As you allow yourself to give in to those feelings, you will eventually experience an orgasm if you haven’t already.</p>
<p>Repeat mantras that reaffirm that you’re sexual being. You may repeat, "I’m a confident, beautiful, and sexual woman." Or "Every aspect of my body is beautiful and perfect."</p>
<p>Learn to say "no." Don’t do anything you don’t feel comfortable doing. Being sexually empowered means you make the decisions that suit you best.</p>
