Marketing Sex - a Filipina Lady Story

Marketing sex is nothing new. Look at the commercials on tv and the ads on the net. It is full of sexual ads to get the consumer’s attention and hopefully the sale.

Marketing sex in the online dating world is just as prominent. Many women use their sexual appeal to find a potential mate. For some women, it is their only appeal as they put very little effort in their words when filling out their profile.

When it comes to the blame game, you could criticize women for using sex to sale themselves, but men play the game as well by putting so much emphases on looks versus substance in a lady’s profile by the words she writes. Obviously, I’m making a blanket statement and this is not the case for all men, but I’m always amazed at how a sexy lady on one of my sites that says very little about herself in her profile, gets top views for the month. Rarely is it an average looking lady with words in her bio that can inspire you, gets the most views.

This leads to one of the major epidemics on the net – scamming. You may try to blame the webmaster, but he does not have a crystal ball and knows before hand what the lady’s intentions are when they join. In other words, she does not put on her application/bio, that she is joining the site to scam people but fills it out sincerely that she is searching for love. You could blame the ladies themselves for being dishonest that their true intention was to take advantage of lonely men for financial gain instead of searching for love. You could also pass on some of that blame to the men themselves.

I’m still amazed how obvious a scam letter is and how men still fall for them. I state on my site(s) that you should never send money during the get to know each other stages of a relationship. If a lady is asking for money early in a relationship or coming up with some sob story that she needs money, be aware. Of course there are exceptions, so only the man himself can judge if she is being sincere or not. Tough to do by a few emails and a few phone calls. Using common sense should prevail but that seems to go out the door when hormones are involved. Time should also be part of your criteria when searching for love. Most scammers do not have the patience to hang around to get to know you for months if you are not providing her some cash to stay in the game. Since there is too many uncertainties, the best policy would be not to send money when you are getting to know someone on the net – no matter how sincere their story may seem.

Are there exceptions? Probably. If you are asking me if it is worth the risk to send money to a lady to help pay for postage or to rent a computer at a internet café, this risk is minimal and probably reasonable. After all, if you were dating someone locally, most guys are going to spend money for the date with no guarantee that there will be more dates in the future. For that matter, helping a Filipina Lady with postage and internet café fees is probably recommended, unless she is telling you the nearest café is 400 miles away and is trying to get you to pay for traveling expenses.

When a lady is asking you to supply her with financial help to sustain something rather expensive over time or money for a one time major investment to help her out, be careful. I think one of the most common scams is when a lady ask for help for an expense related to school or college

A lady joins a dating site. She is quite attractive but far from worldly. Her beauty attracts many suitors. A lot of these men are lonely and use money to try to influence the lady. She quickly learns how easy it is to use her appeal to help support her financially. She has hundreds of men sending her money – they all believe he is the one and only one she loves. In time, she does make a mistake and someone catches on. She is banned from the dating site when the evidence is presented that she is scamming. When banned she pleads to have her profile and photo to be put back on the site. She scammed many, but she also wants to find the one man who she can love and take care of her for the rest of her life. She is scared!

She tries again and promises that her sincerity in search for love will be true. She still has many suitors and again many brag about their financial ability to take care of her. She tries to find a man who is financially able to provide for her without brining up the subject. She doesn’t want to risk being labeled a scammer again. With patience and time she does meet someone who she can love and still feel secure.

They have been happily married for ten years now. The moral of the story is simple. Men put away you wallets and let your heart do the talking. The above story with some variance happens more often than not. Whose to blame?

It is worth repeating. Use common sense, do not send money during the get to know each other stage of the relationship and give it time without money being involved unless it is for reasonable expenses like postage and internet café fees. Otherwise, if you fall for a scam, you may have only yourself to blame.
