Sexual intercourse has in the past been a favoured topic I have covered over the weeks pointing out the dangers of what can result from having unprotected sex. However, as much as these risks were highlighted in great detail, sadly there are still teens in denial of any harm or mishap affecting them. I thought it now best to use another form of tactic where I tend on being more explicit with the facts on sexual intercourse so you stay safe. My intention is not to encourage but to enlighten on what sexual intercourse is and how to go about it sensibly. Sensibility denotes staying healthy.

There is a huge difference between "having sex" and "making love." Knowing the difference between the two may have you think twice before getting it on with the opposite sex for what some would call hanky panky. Having sex has little meaning for both parties. Whereas in contrast making love gives an intimate meaning to the whole escapade. Awareness and preparation will have your first sexual encounter, one not of disaster. When the time comes for two becoming one is not always a happening that can be prearranged due to the spur of the moment desiring. However, if prepared (contraception) for impulse sex, then readiness gives you the green light if within the legal age limit.

To share the body is a major commitment whether it is for a night or for the rest of your life.

Think condoms, carry condoms and to use condoms is the key factor for having a loving and careful sexual encounter. Combination of safe sex is the "coupling condom." Help prevent contracting a sexually transmitted disease (STD) or that of falling pregnant by using a rubber sheath. It is not unheard of for young girls losing their virginity just to follow suit of friends. Having sex because you want to lose your virginity, or because you think all your friends are doing it, is something you may regret later. Okay your friends may not admit to this, but believe me that the biggest majority of teen mums cry themselves to sleep along with their baby.

You should be able to talk to your partner about how you feel about having sex for the first time. A relaxed relationship will ease the tension and reduce stress build up. If you feel uncomfortable and find talking to your partner difficult, this could be a sign to say you are not ready It is of the utmost importance that you feel comfortable with what you are doing. Before body engagement, think contraception. Contraception will help eliminate the physical risks such as pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. Also the emotional risk of regret needs to be considered. Why rush in to something you are not ready for when there are other ways to receive sexual pleasure. Gay men and condom use can help stop infections like HIV.

The age of consent, that is the age at which it is legal to have sex, depends on which country you live. Sexual intercourse refers in a strict sense to the insertion of the male's penis into the female's vagina for the purpose of reproduction. Sexual intercourse is habitually seen as the natural endpoint between male and female. Homosexual activities which, involve oral or anal penetration or stimulation, are also referred to as sexual intercourse. Sexual intercourse is penetrative sex. The male penis is inserted inside the vagina. The penis will have to be erect (erection) for sex to commence. The man will guide the penis into the vagina. The man and woman will synchronize movement (up down - in out.) Normally an orgasm will be achieved during sex. Once ejaculation happens, the penis loses its erection. Some women find it difficult to climax during actual sex so therefore foreplay is important. The woman may need to have her clitoris rubbed to reach an orgasm.

If you have been unfortunate and have become a victim of your own negligence and not sure what to do

– then talk to your parents. Yes, they may go mad and shout, but this will not last forever. Normally an outburst from those who care is mainly due to their protection plan when you were growing up went unheeded. Parents protect so let them help in your hour of need.

Contraception is the answer to having a fulfilling happy and healthy sex life
