Choosing The Right Bed Pillow

The place where you rest your head at night can mean the difference between a relaxing and rejuvenating sleep or an uncomfortable and unrestful ordeal. Therefore, it is vital to choose the right bed pillow that meets your needs for a good night's sleep that is comfortable and uplifts your energy levels.

Choosing the right bed pillow can improve your sleep and well-being. For this reason, there are pillow consultants that specialize in the design and production of numerous forms of pillows for different body types and sleeping needs. Before one searches for the right bed pillow for the night, they should consider a number of factors such as their sleeping style.

Some of the types of pillows available in the market generally contain feathers, cotton fiber, synthetic fiber and foam. Cotton and synthetic fiber pillows are the fluffiest and best insulators that do not easily deform when slept on for extended periods of time. However, these types of pillows are some of the more expensive types in the market. Feather pillows meanwhile are cheaper and they give good head support despite not being the most resilient type of pillow. On the other hand, memory form and latex pillows are the ones that most sleep experts recommend for individuals with back and neck problems because they automatically adjust to the shape of ones body.

Pillow experts caution that when choosing the right bed pillow, customers should be on the look out for pillows that contain fibers that can trigger allergies. Bed pillows that contain feathers or wool for example, may cause allergic reactions in some people who are already sensitive to these fibers. For this reason, it is very important to read the label that describes the types of fibers that a pillow contains before you buy it.

Choosing the right bed pillow also has much to do with your sleeping style. Individuals who sleep mostly on their side or back should look for a pillow that can naturally support their head, shoulders and spine in the right position. The right bed pillow should not tilt your body in unnatural positions, as this will cause neck and back pain. Individuals who sleep on their stomach should choose a more flat pillow to alleviate strain on the neck and back.

Other vital traits of a good bed pillow that you should keep in mind are the firmness, size and the maintenance level the pillow requires.  When it comes to size the standard pillow is for single or twin bed, the medium size is for queen size bed while the large ones are designed for king size beds. As for pillow maintenance, cotton and synthetic fiber pillows are the easiest to clean and are the most durable.

Once you are aware of your physical comfort needs and the types of pillow fibers you prefer then you can go ahead and begin making an educated choice between numerous types of pillows available in the market. Choosing the right bed pillow is as important as choosing the right mattress. Take your time to try out different pillows and don't be afraid to test them out for a night or two before making your final choice.

Samsung Impression review

By: bozo183 | 12/11/2009
It’s honestly a great feature phone, yet the experience using it left me feeling I was using a very limited smart phone, which might be the point. As a result, I was left comparing the Impression to the iPhone, not because the iPhone is so great, but simply because the iPhone is the direct competitor for the Impression, especially at the $199 price tag. Users who are looking at the Impression need to think long a hard and analyze their needs before buying this device

Xerox WorkCentre C2424

By: bozo183 | 12/11/2009
Xerox designed the WorkCentre C2424 as a multifunction printer that could handle the heavy work flow of a large office. At $2999, it costs three times as much as the other two color laser MFPs tested here; but for the money you get more features, more flexibility, and more network functionality than the others offer.

Xerox Phaser 8560/N

By: bozo183 | 12/11/2009
The latest in Xerox’s line of solid-ink printers for the office, the Phaser 8560/N ($799) offers high-quality printouts, speedy output, and low per-page costs. Solid ink offers a number of advantages over laser and inkjet technologies, including less waste, easier supply replenishment, faster initial printouts, and a unique glossy look ideal for output such as presentations, brochures, and marketing collateral.

Brother DCP-8040

By: bozo183 | 12/11/2009
The brother dcp-8040 provides most of the features you'd expect in a $400 laser multifunction device, including a 50-page automatic document feeder with a roomy, legal-size flatbed 600-by-2,400dpi color scanner. Its 21-page-per-minute monochrome laser printer engine delivers decent print quality. Oddly, however, the DCP-8040 does not include a fax machine. Without a fax, this machine is simpler than most multifunctions, but it's unsuitable for many small or home offices.

Ricoh MP MP5240A-DP

By: bozo183 | 12/11/2009
I bought this DVD re-writer in January and had problems with it literally from day one. It first the problems were very mild, it would not register the cheaper discs when inserted into the drive but it would write them. However these discs were written to a poor quality and were unplayable on two of our standalone DVD players and barely playable on the third. Then the bigger problems started.

Sony STR DA5300ES

By: bozo183 | 12/11/2009
Last year we were wowed by the sony str-DA5200ES because it was the first AV receiver we'd seen with a true menu-driven, graphical user interface (GUI). Most receivers still rely on archaic-looking onscreen displays with blocky white text--in combination with cryptic feedback from the front-panel readout--to accomplish speaker setup, upconversion settings, input naming, and the myriad other tasks required by a multitalented AV hub.

Epson Stylus CX6600

By: bozo183 | 12/11/2009
The epson stylus CX6600 inkjet multifunction capably copies, prints, and scans photos, images, and text. The four-color CX6600 is vendor-rated to print up to 22 pages per minute (ppm) of text and 11ppm color, though, as with most printers, it didn't print that fast in our tests. Its digital reader slots accept a variety of popular memory cards to let you print photos instantly without having to turn on your computer.

Epson AcuLaser CX11NF - multifunction

By: bozo183 | 12/11/2009
Color laser multifunctions aren't just for corporate offices anymore. New budget color laser multifunctions, such as the Epson AcuLaser CX11, are designed to fit the needs and the budgets of small offices. The Epson AcuLaser CX11 series is the third color laser multifunction to cost less than $1,000. While this multitasking printer faces stiff competition, at $799 ($699 for the CX11N model, which lacks an automatic document feeder (ADF) and faxing), it's the most affordable yet.
