Can A Wrinkle Cream Replace My Eye Cream?

This is a question often asked by women around the world.  Considering that most people do not under stand the difference between the skin around the eyes and the skin over the rest of the face and neck, it is not surprising to find much confusion over the individual use or wrinkle cream and eye cream.

The skin on the face and neck is thicker than the skin just around the eye area.  For this reason, one must take particularly careful care to use only high quality ingredients around the eyes that are specifically designed for around the eye area.  A good eye cream will give your skin all the benefits it needs to stay supple and reduce the signs of aging.

Wrinkle cream is created especially for use on the face nowhere near the eye area.  Often the active ingredients are much stronger than they are in an eye cream.  They also frequently have ingredients that can cause irritation to the sensitive skin around the eyes.

Eye creams are specially formulated for use around the eye area.  They have emollients that will work better with the tender tissue that shows the signs of aging first.  They are also not going to damage your eyes should you accidentally get some into your eyes.  The active ingredients that are used in eye cream are much milder, as the skin around the eyes will soak in these ingredients easier than the skin on the rest of the face because it is so much thinner.

On the other hand, an eye cream cannot be used as a wrinkle cream, either.  The skin of the face will receive too much moisture and can interfere with natural oil production and therefore can become ridden with acne or just suffer from extreme dryness.  The anti-wrinkle properties of eye cream are generally not as strong as what is in wrinkle cream for the fact, so you will find that you are not getting the desired affects from the eye cream on your frown lines like you would if you used an actual wrinkle cream.

It is very important to use two separate creams for optimum results.  Keep the eye cream around the eyes and the wrinkle cream on the face and neck and you will have the beautiful, soft skin that makes you look so much younger.
