Discover the Best Face Moisturizer

I don't know a thing about you, but I'll bet that you might be surprised to know that the average face moisturizer on the market does not contain moisturizing ingredients. The petroleum-derived oils that are in most products (namely petrolatum, mineral oil and paraffin) do not provide moisture to the skin's cells.

They are not absorbed, because they are not similar to sebum, the oil produced by the sebaceous glands, beneath the skin that moisturizes it. Petroleum-based lotions actually repel that moisture. They clog the pores, which disrupts the natural rejuvenation processes. With continued use, they strip the skin's sebum, causing excessive dryness.

Glycerin is a better ingredient for face moisturizer. It improves the skin's moisture content by about 5%. More effective products combine glycerin with grape seed oil, avocado oil or Shea butter, depending on whether it is intended for use during the day or at night. The most effective line of skincare products also includes another important natural ingredient.

Not long ago, researchers learned how to isolate and extract a protein peptide complex from New Zealand sheep's wool. They called it "Functional Keratin", because the protein peptide is very similar to the skin's soft keratins, which, along with collagen and elastin, are responsible for its firmness, flexibility and strength.

In clinical studies, the peptide has been shown to increase moisture by 20% and the increase is sustained for a full 24 hours. Over 18 days, it improves the skin's ability to "retain" moisture. This means that there will be less dryness, with long-term use, as opposed to petroleum-based creams that promote excessive dryness, with continued use. There are other benefits, as well.

Regardless of your age, you should be concerned about delaying wrinkles, sagging and other signs of aging, for as long as possible. One of the causes of an aged appearance is free radical damage to the cellular structure and the cells DNA. If it includes the right ingredients, a face moisturizer can prevent and repair free radical damage.

You see, free radical molecules are naturally present in the cells, but exposure to UV rays from the sun and environmental pollutants increase their number, as well as their activity. Antioxidant molecules, including coenzyme Q10, vitamin E and A, are naturally present to control free radical molecules, but their levels are quickly depleted for a variety of reasons.

Most antioxidant solutions are ineffective, because the molecules are not small enough to penetrate the skin's cells. An ingredient called NANO-LIPOBELLE HEQ10 was specifically designed to penetrate, preventing and repairing free radical damage in many of the skin's layers. Only the best face moisturizer contains that ingredient, along with Functional Keratin, which also has antioxidant activity.

So there you have it... if your skin is already in pretty good condition, you may not notice the difference, until friends your age start to look older than you do. If your skin's health has started to suffer, you will see a visible improvement in firmness. Fine lines will fade away and wrinkles will look less deep. If a face moisturizer can do all of that, what more could you ask for?
