Japanese Skincare: a Beauty Diet Skincare Secret

The title of this article refers not to a particular product line of Japanese skincare rather it is about the amazingly flawless and beautiful skin of Japanese women and how they achieve it. One need not travel to Japan to have noticed this group of women often look ten or twenty years younger than their actual age.

So, what is their secret? Heredity certainly plays a part but so too does their lifestyle, diet and their close knit family ties. Let’s take a look at their diet and determine how this relates to Japanese skincare.

The Japanese enjoy and consume lots of fish providing a rich diet in essential fatty acids, a key component to general health and nourishment for the skin. Although Sushi has become a favorite to Westerners, Japanese women prepare fish grilled, broiled, baked, and poached and believe that the skin of fish enhances the beauty of and improves their own complexion.

An interesting aspect to the Japanese diet is the fact that their selection of foods consumed is based on health properties versus taste. Hence, they include all kinds of different types of foods in their meal preparations.

For example, there is a type of kelp (large seaweed) native to the waters of Japan, known as Phyessence Wakame. It is prepared and eaten both fresh and dried. And what makes this relevant to Japanese skincare, you may wonder? The secret is what properties this kelp holds.

Phyessence Wakame provides a plethora of vitamins, especially B-complex, and minerals such as calcium, iron and potassium. These properties benefit the skin greatly when consumed in a balanced diet. And thanks to advanced science this kelp has been made available as an extract and utilized as a topical application for the skin offering a beauty secret of Japanese skincare in additional forms.

Research has provided real results with this particular algae of the sea and its effect upon human skin. The beneficial properties include helping to moisturize and smooth as well as maintaining elasticity, which we can not help but notice with the beautiful Japanese skincare in older women of Japanese descent.

But how does this work?

Phytessence Wakame blocks or prevents an enzyme (hyaluronidase), naturally occurring within our body, from breaking down the (good) hyaluronic acid, another naturally occurring aspect which is vital to skin elasticity. Hyaluronic acid is what keeps our skin smooth and youthful and over time the (bad) enzyme has its way with aging the skin.

So, what a thing! There is a proven beneficial kelp consumed for providing beautiful Japanese skincare and now available for those who prefer to smooth it directly onto their skin to maintain a more youthful and healthy complexion.

If the Japanese live longer than any other group, and they do, and maintain their beautiful Japanese skincare to boot, then the only smart thing for the rest of us to do is locate a skincare product that contains this particular kelp called Phytessence Wakame.
