Non-Surgical Cellulite Solutions - Reducing Cellulite Without Going Under The Knife

Everyone seems to have an amusing nickname for cellulite: cottage cheese, hail damage, orange peel skin-just to name a few.  However, for people struggling with the unwanted and unsightly condition, cellulite is not a laughing matter.  Thankfully, there is an abundant variety of non-surgical treatment options available to individuals who are desperately seeking to get rid of cellulite without going under the knife.  Below you will find a list of the most popular non-surgical cellulite reduction techniques available on today’s market:

Lipomassage:  Lipomassage is a form of non-surgical cellulite treatment that combines mechanized suction and therapeutic massage to cellulite in an effort to break down fat cells, release water retention, and to smooth the thighs, buttocks, and hips.  Lipomassage works by using rollers that rotate over the skin and the suctioning power of a vacuum to manipulate the outer layers of the skin.  The goal is to break up the fat cells beneath the surface of the skin.  Lipomassage is a very low risk treatment, and there are no side effects involved with it.  That being said, lipomassage has been met with mixed results, and many consumers have expressed frustration with the company’s recommendation that 15 sessions must be completed prior to seeing optimum results.

LipoDissolve:  LipoDissolve is a form of cellulite treatment being billed as a non-surgical alternative to liposuction.  LipoDissolve involves a series of medicated injections designed to melt away unwanted small localized areas of fat.  Ingredients utilized in LipoDissolve vary depending on the facility performing the procedure, but the “chemical cocktail” typically includes phosphatidylcholine/deoxycholate (PCDC), multivitamins, alpha lipid acid, enzymes, and plant extracts.  PCDC is a soybean extract that is FDA approved to break down blood fats that may increase the risk of heart disease, but it is not approved for injection.  As such, LipoDissolve is regarded as an experimental treatment within the health and beauty community.

Topical creams:  Probably the most well known non-surgical treatment for cellulite is that of topical creams and lotions.  Topical creams require little effort and less expense when compared with that of many other non-surgical cellulite reductions methods.  Another benefit of cellulite creams and/or lotions is the convenience factor, as they are easy to fit in with a daily routine that includes work and a family.  There was a rather good story about an effective new cellulite cream that appeared on the AOL StyleList blog recently. The product is called Adonia LegTone and it is said to reduce the appearance of cellulite by as much as 72%. There are literally thousands of cellulite treatment creams available on todays market-so the biggest challenge becomes choosing the most effective cream.  Often times doing a little research and reading customer reviews can help to identify products that are achieving positive results.
