1. Acquire a business partner. Try to find partners that have the same interests and objectives. You can trade leads, contacts, share marketing info, combine deals such as packaging things together, etc.

2. Get your name and business out there. You can easily do this for free by just writing articles and submitting them to e-zines, article directories, free classifieds or web sites for republishing.

3. Set up an auction on your web site. Make the auction related to the theme of your site. You'll draw traffic from auctioneers and bidders, as well as lurkers.

4. Brainstorm. It is very important to take some time to brainstorm on a daily basis. Coming up with new and fresh ideas is important to your success.

5. Look at other successful business people, what is it that they do? Study them try to emulate what makes them successful.

10. Depending what you are selling, you could possibly combine a product and service together. If you are selling computers, perhaps you could offer free setup or an hour of training.
