A look into the opening day fixtures in the English Championship 2009/10 season and the betting trends from the opening matches from the past ten seasons with an overall prediction across several markets.

Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Bristol City, Peterborough, Swansea, Scunthorpe, Doncaster, and Blackpool have been omitted from the trend analysis due to the small number of seasons they have participated in the Championship over the past ten seasons.
