The AC Milan Brazilian star Kaka, rejected the offer from the Manchester City of a world-record deal of 100 million GBP. He declared on a press conference on Monday that he was staying with the AC Milan since he was feeling great at his club and didn’t need a change. He also explained that he never considered moving to Manchester City or to any other club because of the money; he just wants to enjoy the game and be happy at the club he is playing for.
Kaka stated that he listened to his heart when he took the decision on rejecting the offer and that his family and everybody who loves him support him on his decision. Silvio Berlusconi, Milan’s owner and Coach Carlo Ancelotti were very happy with his decision of staying with the club. They also declared that the club has supported Kaka from the beginning through the end on everything he has needed during his time with the team. For them, Kaka is a great person and an awesome player on and off the court.
"Now, finally, I can shout out my happiness. I'm truly happy because the heart won out," Ancelotti told to the Italian journal La Gazzetta dello Sport. "I have to thank the (club) president (Silvio) Berlusconi and Ricky (Kaka). It wasn't a simple decision to make in the face of such a big offer” he said referring on the offer of winning 500.000 GBP per week.
Ancelotti also stated that he has considered Kaka a brilliant and intelligent person and that he knows that he took the decision based on what he felt. He knows that this is good for the projection that they want to give to the club, since everybody that works at the club is happy and doesn’t want to leave; their team work is very important and they have always fought for their goals as a family and as a team.
On the other hand, the people from Manchester City were very frustrated about Kaka’s decision and they are now blaming the AC Milan and Kaka’s father, who is his chief adviser, for the failure of the negotiation. The declarations of the spokesman of the City have been very tough, saying that they were interested in the good things they could give to Kaka, especially with a foundation of good causes that he could bring to the world’s football as a City player. They also said that everything was very complex since the most important thing for Kaka’s father and AC Milan was the money, statement to which the AC Milan answered with a denial response. Also Kaka stated about this assertions and rumors that it was entirely his own decision and that nobody influence on it.
Anyhow, this was just a bad negotiation that didn’t end up in a good way for Manchester City and once more they feel disappointed since they also lost a negotiation with Ronaldinho last summer.
Right now Kaka is a very important player for the AC Milan and he played a key role in last Saturday’s victory against Fiorentina, which left them just six points behind the current leader Inter Milan, in third place of the league. It has to be mentioned that during that same day many fans got together to sign a petition for Kaka to stay in the club, which maybe was another reason why he made his decision to stay. In any case, we hope the best for this amazing player and we expect him to keep showing us much more of his great football.
