A lot of papers reported that united sweet talked the parents of Paul Pogba.  He is a sixteen year old French player so they could get him to Old Trafford.  Each of the parents was given €100,000 and a house so they could bring Paul to Old Trafford.  The president of Le Harve, Jean Pierre Louvel made the claim in the French football magazine.  He also made an allegation that Paul was given a guarantee over the wages he would get when he turns seventeen. Louvel was disappointed by United’s conduct.  Of course United denied the allegation.  United’s spokesman said that it was non sense and that everything they did was within the guidelines of FIFA.  Louvel said the teams lure teenagers from clubs in their home countries.  FIFA should not let contracts be longer than three years if a player is less than eighteen.  In France it is followed, it seems like England don’t follow that rule.  Pogba signed an agreement in which a player agrees to sign a professional contract at a later date.  But United believes that that kid of agreement is not legally enforceable.

The center of fear over game scheduling of the matches in Carling Cup third round matches were Manchester United and Manchester City. United is scheduled to play September 23 at home against Wolverhampton Wanderers. That same night Manchester City will play host to Fulham in the competition.  This is only three nights after the Manchester derby at Old Trafford.
