White</a> The nuisance that is adware has been bothering computer users around the world for some time now. And to combat this growing nuisance of adware is a growing number of adware removal tools. But before we go into the removal process, we have to identify the problem and then eventually correct it. First of all, what is adware? Believe it or not, Adware is a free software that you, the consumer AGREED to have installed on your computer! You might say to yourself, "When did i agree to willingly download adware?" Well, remember those numerous times you agreed to the software publishers' "END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT" to download their music shareware service? Remember you decided to download the song instead of go to the store and buy it? Well, that is just one of the examples that allowed adware to deposit itself on your computer. You must remember that you must agree to the end user license agreement to download and install some of the programs that you want on your computer. And in the fine print of these agreements are the adware programs that you are agreeing to download and install. And instead of reading the whole end user license agreement, what do we do? We scroll down to the end of the agreement and hit the "I Agree" button. Sound familiar? Because of the previously aforementioned agreement, the adware will track your internet usage, and in return, show you a bunch of ads that are closely related to that internet activity. These are the annoying pop-ups that continually "pop-up" on your computer, sometimes even when you are not on the internet. These "pop-ups are just one of the hiccups your computer will display to let you know that you have adware. If your computer is running very slowly, or your homepage keeps changing and you have no idea why. These are all tell-tell signs that your PC is infected with adware. And don't forget the downloaded music we mentioned earlier. So how do you get rid of the adware? Well for beginners most of anti-virus software out there will detect adware on your computer. But anti-virus software is not specifically designed to get rid of this problem. So most computer experts recommend that you use a anti-spyware/anti-adware program to perform this function, because these programs are made to combat this particular problem.
