Different roles and goals while prototyping with Justinmind Prototyper

Any software or website design process can have several different professionals involved, each one adding their grain of salt to the whole. From the information architects who start the wireframes to the final developers, there are several features and functionalities in Justinmind Prototyper for each one of them go through during his work.

Here are the most important profiles:

Information Architects

The responsible for expressing a model or concept of information used in activities that require explicit details of complex systems. In other others, the ones that define the content, structure and organization of all information, being it images, texts or animations.

They must be present in the wireframing stage, and also participate in the creation of the scenarios and navigation paths. Their responsibility is to keep the information as easy as it can be for users of the final project.

The capability of conjoining wireframes and navigation flowcharts is very useful for the development of the information architecture for any website.

b>Business Analysts

Those are the ones who analyse and organize the project around business issues: planning, organization, definition, design, technical issues. They must be around during all development stages, since they also control development, and who gets to do what. Their work is very much improved by the Requeriments Management feature of Justinmind Prototyper, which allows them to control versions, spec features and define any functionality.

b>UX designers

Some people will be involved in making everything perfect for the final users, so that their experience using the final software will be flawless. The people in charge of it are the experience designers. Using Justinmind Prototyper, they’re able to simulate the usage, better understanding how they’re going to use, and thus being able to create an easier and more pleasurable experience.

b>Programmers

Responsible for turning all the specifications into a real working program, their work will be very much improved with better communication from UX designers, business analysts and information architects. They’ll be able to specify everything and generate a final documentation with all needed data, after testing and modifying. So, the programmers will create the whole code from scratch, without further changes that generate many bugs.

Justinmind Prototyper was created to improve and help teams of different professionals work together and create better software or website through a high fidelity wireframe simulation. Better communication within the team for a better final result.

Fax to Email Software

By: Walter Roberts | 21/11/2009
If you've ever received a fax on standard fax paper, you know just how hard they can be to read sometimes. They do not always come through clearly which makes it near impossible for the receiving end to know what the fax says. Then one person has to call the other to let them know that it did not come through clearly, and the whole process starts again until the fax is readable or another method is agreed upon. I know more than once I've asked for email over fax because it's usually much clearer.
