Windows PC Defender is a rogue security program that displays false system security threats in order to frighten the user. The makers of this application hope that you will become alarmed that infections exist on your PC, and buy their product to remedy the situation. In fact, this program is a scam and no product exists. It is simply an attempt to take your money and leave you with nothing.

Where does this rogue come from? Most of these infections sneak through when you download other files, although you probably won't be aware of it at the time. Visiting unknown websites, sharing networks and spam emails are other sources. If you do become infected, you can remove Windows PC Defender manually, although this is risky. It must be done exactly right, or you risk severe damage to your computer. All running processes have to be killed, and related files and values detected in the Windows registry so that they can be removed.
