Optimize Vista 2 - 6 Ways to Speed Up Internet Explorer

When comes to software creation, Microsoft always has a philosophy: Hardware resources are unlimited, there will be no performance issues in the future! Yes, I can totally agree with them, the only thing is: We are still in the present-day, not in the future. That's why Vista or Internet Explorer can be quite slow on some situation...In this article, I will outline 6 ways to bring your Internet Explorer 7 back from future to present-day!

Method #1 - Disable RSS.
If you need to read RSS, use a proper RSS feed software, such as Outlook or Thunderbird email client. This will prevent the browser from detecting for RSS feeds every time it connects to a web site.

Method #2 - Disable clear-type font.
I must admit the clear type is nicer, but you can live without it. Disable the clear type will instantly speed up your browser, keep it only when you have a very fast computer and connections.

Method #3 - Disable smooth scrolling.
You do not necessary need smooth scrolling, disable it for faster experience.

Method #4 - Disable phishing filter.
Phishing web site will hijack your browser or try to emulate other web site and steel your credit card information or password, if you already have an Anti Virus and Anti Spyware, disable this feature for faster browsing.

Method #5 - Disable SSVHelper add-on.
This add-on will be activated when you install java runtime, it will act as a security checking on other java plugins, will slow down your Internet Explorer significantly. Just disable it for faster browsing.

Method #6 - Maximizing Internet Explorer connections.
The default connections number is 2, you can increase this number to 10 and dramatically speed up Internet Explorer connection.
