Riddle of the Sphinx

In Greek mythology, the Sphinx asked this riddle of all travelers who passed by. "What goes on four legs in the morning, on two legs at noon, and on three legs in the evening?" And of course the answer to the riddle was, "A man, who crawls on all fours as a baby, walks on two legs as an adult, and walks with a cane in old age." But maybe the greatest of all questions has to do with WHEN was the Sphinx built?

And what does that matter? J, Krishnamurti put it this way, "When you once see something as FALSE which you have accepted as TRUE, as natural, as human, then you can never go back to it." And so my question is was there an advanced society-culture here on earth eons ago who built structures such as the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx? How was it possible to build such edifices "back then"?

Merkaba mystical thoughts? Can we travel back in time adn truly find out? :-)

The Sphinx is not built with quarried blocks like the pyramids and temples it guards, but carved out of the living bedrock. Its makers gave it a man's head and the body of a lion. It is 66 feet high and an impressive 240 feet long. It has the most extraordinary expression, like a hundred Mona Lisas all rolled into one.

Most Egyptologists believe that the Sphinx was built in 2500 BC in the time of the pharaoh Chephren (of Khafre), who is identified with the Second Pyramid at Giza. And yet for those who can think outside the box and are more attunded to finding the truth than protecting some tradition, the year 10,000BCE seems more logical.

A crack team of scientists who were not hampered by an ingrained Egyptological consensus raised some "weathering" questions. They examined the unique weathering patterns on the Sphinx and its enclosure. Their conclusion was that the vertical weathering patterns on the Sphinx and its enclosure were not caused by wind effect, as had previously been thought, but by water - water from torrential rains and pouring down in sheets over these ancient structures. The "patterns" were vertical, not horizontal: rain, not wind.

But, the technology didn't exist back then, or was there an energy field not known to us?

The riddle(s) of the Sphinx is but one of thousands that are challenging those who come to the exploration of life with an OPEN MIND. Don't look to the government, nor NASA for answers. Look instead within where, where the spirit of man, mankind, and the universe resides. But then, where does this spirit, zero point field, energy, or Consciousness not reside?

Where can we go that it is not, and what is it that is not? Indeed the ultimate riddle! :-)

Cyprus and the Egypt Connection
By: Kev Moore | 11/10/2007 | Travel
The Egyptians must have really like the beautiful Island of Cyprus because they just kept on coming back. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that in those days (1500 BC) they didn't have those luxury holiday resorts like Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh. Whatever the reason whether it was the sandy beaches or the great climate they just kept on coming back to her shores. They first took a trip there under the instruction of Thothes the third round about 500 BC but they only hung around Cyprus until the Mycenaen Greeks turned up.

Do you believe in this? People come into your life ...
By: Carole Baker | 17-09-2007
Do you believe in this?People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a Godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your Turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.
