Why would you want to get your paintball team sponsored? The answer is simple: money. You know better than anyone just how expensive paintball equipment can be; if you play paintball often you know how easy it is to blow through a few hundred dollars every time you buy new ammo and equipment. You'll find this to be totally unnecessary if you can find someone to sponsor you. When you have a sponsor, they will pay you a certain amount of money which you both agree upon. While they may not pay all of your expenses, they will definitely help to lighten the burden.

The catch is that you have to advertise for the company that sponsors you. This way you both get something in return. Companies, usually small businesses that are located in the area, have been sponsoring local teams for decades, usually in sports like baseball and football.

Paintball's ever increasing popularity is making it just another sport and therefore able to be sponsored. You will find that advertising for your sponsor can be fun and easy. Traditional methods include putting their name and/or logo on your uniforms and equipment, fliers, articles, emails, and distributing promotional information for them at events.
