Athletes develop as they are exposed to various research, engineering, science and technology. Manufacturers of sport items, sporting academies, governments, universities, institutes and research units, invest thousands of dollars into producing and backing the best athletes.

Part of being listed among the top performers, includes the application and knowledge of, methods and advancements of the sub-disciplines for nutrition, optimization of performance and human movement, as well as understanding psychological issues, to mention only a few.
