LA VERDAD SOBRE EL COLESTEROL
Cada día más personas descubren que tienen colesterol elevado y no es sorprendente ya que el colesterol afecta a la mayoría de las personas que tienen sobrepeso, que en el caso de los Estados Unidos es el setenta por ciento de la población.
El colesterol es grasa que se acumula el las paredes de las venas, capilares y arterias e impide que la sangre circule adecuadamente. Esto es muy peligroso ya que el corazón y el cerebro son los primeros órganos afectados por falta de oxigenación, la cual se transporta en la sangre. Eventualmente, el colesterol acaba tapando completamente la vena o arteria lo cual causa embolias e infartos.
Al igual que existen grasas buenas como el aceite Omega, y grasas malas como la grasa saturada, existe colesterol bueno y colesterol malo.
Muchas personas tienen niveles de colesterol malo muy elevados por la simple razón de que no tienen suficiente colesterol bueno para combatirlo.
En pocas palabras, mucha gente padece de colesterol no por comer demasiada carne, queso o mariscos sino porque mas bien no comen suficiente pescado, aguacate y nueces.
Para combatir el colesterol, es imprescindible crear una dieta muy balanceada en la cual se incluye suficientes aceites esenciales ya que estos se encargan de limpiar la grasa maligna de las arterias, igual que el jabón (que esta hecho principalmente de manteca) limpia las manos.
Además, es necesario hacer ejercicio con regularidad, aunque tan solo sea caminar treinta minutos. En el caso de las personas que padecen de cualquier enfermedad cardiovascular, es recomendable hacer ejercicio por la tarde o en la noche antes de dormir, ya que éste mejora la circulación general durante el resto de la noche.
La mayoría de embolias e infartos suceden entre las 12 AM y 7 AM y hacer ejercicio antes de dormir es una forma de prevenir que esto suceda.
Existe una vitamina que es muy aconsejable para ayudar a personas que padecen de colesterol o alta presión a mejorar la circulación general. Esta vitamina se llama Niacina y tiene el sorprendente efecto de expandir hasta las más pequeñas capilares.
Recuerda que es mejor prevenir que curar y el colesterol es una enfermedad causado por malos hábitos. Si cambias tus hábitos cambiaras tu salud.
