Are you taking a multivitamin? For many years, health experts have issued platitudes like “you don’t need vitamins if you eat a well rounded diet.” Yet an estimated 40 percent of Americans take a nutritional supplement, and it’s most likely to be a multivitamin. Could it be that you know more than the health experts? More Americans are taking multivitamin than ever. Why do you think these people are taking multivitamins. The mountain of research evidence is growing daily. We can’t over state enough the importance of taking a quality multivitamin. The benefits of using multivitamins are many and have been documented numerous times. They are so important that in order for you and your family to remain healthy, you and everyone in your family, must use the best a multivitamins available for your needs, on a daily basis. What does the research tell us? Here are two commonly cited sources and statistics that you may even be familiar with yourself.
The Anarem Report revealed that out of 21,500 individuals, "not a single individual consumed 100% of the 10 most needed nutrients in the body."
And U.S. Senate Document #264 states, "99% of the American people are deficient in vitamins and minerals..."
So, the question that begs to be asked is, Do you really need to take a daily multivitamin supplement? Lets see if you might have nutritional chananges that most of us face on a daily bases.
Its next to impossible to get proper nutrition in today's fast paced society. we are inundated by fast food restaurants that push high fat, high carb, oil soaked burgers and fries, and quick sandwich shoppes that offer highly processed sandwich meats with high salt content and artificial flavors. Not ot mention couch potato syndrome, we lounge about in front of our televisions and computers for hours on end, without getting sunlight or exercise and then we wonder why decades later, we wind up with heart disease, diabetes, obesity, cancer, arthritis, and a whole host of other serious or fatal diseases. We then spend tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars on medical care while our bodies become less and less healthy.
Now that you are armed with the proper information on what it takes to be considered the best multi vitamins, find the multi vitamin that is best for you and take it every day. Of course, you can’t expect a supplement to make up for a lousy diet. Multivitamins or no mult vitamins, you still have to eat enough fruits and vegetables, beans, whole grains, and low-fat dairy, poultry, and fish. And you still have to limit fatty meats and dairy products, pastries, commercially fried foods, and sweets. But a healthy diet and a quality multivitamin may be the best of both worlds.
