Yesterday was mothers day I went to church and a red carnation flower representing my living mother was pinned to my blouse, after church I had forgotten, I still had this carnation on. While visiting one of my dads aunts.She new my dad had divorced my mom and remarried, He and my stepmother got costudy of me when I was five. Well I'M 44yrs. old now. My birth mom who I really did not come to know or any of her family until I was in my twenties passed away one year before my dad , this was at the least five years after meeting her. And my dads aunt saw the carnation on my clothing and asked why I was wearing it when my mother was not living,and that i should have a white carnation on representing that my mom was no longer living.I was reared in the home with my dad second wife who always treated me as her own child along with my other siblings that are of course younger than I. I want to know what should have said to this aunt for making me feel as if I had to choose which mom I loved more ?
