Pellet Systems International explains to us what wood pellet is all about

There are those who use solar energy to produce fuel and electricity, and there are others who choose wind as a form of fuel giving method used for small houses and some minor infrastructures. But with the increasing age of technology and more economical breakthroughs, the invention of wood pellet is the most identifiable amongst all. Wooden pellets like those being offered by Pellet Systems can give us as much energy as what petroleum products give, but more eco friendly and affordable in many ways.

Wood pellets are made using different waste products like sawdust, ground up wood chips or furniture chips and tree residuals. These waste products are being compressed by a high powered machine to produce a pellet or pill like substance called the wood pellets. Typically, wood pellets contain low moisture compared to other materials being used as fuel pellets like corn, agricultural waste, barks and wood sticks. This only means that they can give much more heat and fuel compared to others with high moisture content. Let us not forget that these pellets consume recyclable materials being very friendly on our environment as well as producing heat and fuel needed to run machines and give warm sensation on cold seasons of the year.

Basically there are two types of wood pellets, the premium and standard. Let’s have a simple comparison between the two of them to know what are their differences and similarities:

  1. Premium pellets – they are also wood pellets made from recyclable materials but on a higher standard such as core woods. Premium pellets are definitely low on ash content that gives not more than one percent in totality. They are being used on high calibrated machines that require enough source of energy but lesser residual capacity.
  2. Standard pellets – they are also made using waste products such as saw dust and wood chips but more on the regular side compared to the premium one. They contain less than three percent of moisture perfect to use on home heaters like pellet stoves and fireplaces.

Both of these pellets are made to give us humans a wonderful source of heat and energy but on a more cost efficient way being affordable on our pockets. If you wanted high quality heat and fuel to run machines or to simply warm the house during cold weathers, then buying a good wood pellet is all you need to accomplish those objectives easy on the pocket and friendly on the environment. Remember to choose wood pellets from top of the line providers like Pellet Systems International that has been in the business long enough to be tagged as reliable and excellent.
