Many that have Digital TV now say they can't do without it. Very few won't feel this way if they dedicate a few days to examine the many advantages Digital TV. There are lots of reasons behind the dominance of Digital TV over Cable TV in people's homes today.
Digital TV is a "must-have" especially for the news freaks as they can have access to all the current information. From traditional channels, information channels, movie channels, etc, Digital TV offers alot. Kids can now watch lots of children channels, thanks to Digital TV.
It doesn't cost an arm and a foot to own Digital TV subscription. Isn't it amazing that one pays less for Digital TV than Cable TV? This is where most people just don't get it. Have you ever seen where something delivers more than the competition, yet costs less?
As you can see, it just doesn't make any iota of sense to keep using Cable TV when Digital TV is much more powerful, yet more affordable. As a Digital TV subscriber you now have lots of varieties of channels to choose from. Digital TV has now made the dreams of many subscribers come true; now subscribers can watch as many channels as they want -- be it comedy channels, movie channels, drama channels or music channels. This is very much unlike your usual Cable TV subscription where you get less variety.
Having discussed the impact that Digital TV has had on our lives how does this impact upon the B&O Beovision 7-40 Digital TV.
The Beovision 7-40 is a 40in LCD TV and the prices for these would be in the region of 7470 pounds sterling or 15000 US dollars. The resolution of the screen is 1366 X 768 and with regards to being HD Ready the answer is yes. The Beovision has 3 (3 RGB) scarts and the type and number of Multimedia interfaces the Beovision 7-40 uses is DVI and 1. The type of Tuner for this TV is Analogue and Digital and the Beovision is available from specialised outlets only.
So how would we rate the B&O Beovision 7-40?
The most obvious place to start with as far as TV's are concerned would be the picture quality and our score here would be 10, next we would look at the sound quality and our view of this would be 10. Another useful aspect to review is the availability and number of relevant connections and our score here would be 8. With regards to the overall level of features, our view would be 8 if we then take a look at the ease of use and overall value for money then our scores would be, 6 and 6 respectively.
Finally our overall opinion would be the performance of this TV it has to be said is pretty fantastic but a similar performance can be had for a fraction of the price and therefore giving much greater value for money if you know where to look elsewhere.
It is extremely unlikely given the variety and range of makes and models available that you will not be able to find something to match your tastes or budget. You could either opt for one of the more cutting edge newer options available or stay safe and go for one of the more established options available. No matter what rout you take we hope that after reading this article you should be more informed as to the correct choice with which to take.
