The Bourne Conspiracy Preview

Nine out of ten times, movies have not made the successful transition to video games (Ratatouille, Fantastic Four, Ghost Rider, Superman, X-Men, Blade, 300, Die Hard, Pirates of the Caribbean). However, The Bourne Conspiracy might be one of those rare video games that could be an exception to that rule. In the video game, players will be in control of protagonist Jason Bourne. Everyone knows the phenomenal Jason Bourne movies and their action adventure style. Sierra has corroborated a video game adaptation to the remarkable Jason Bourne trilogy. For the two people who do not know about the Jason Bourne movies, they are all based on a fictitious CIA operative named Jason Bourne. He has amnesia and is striving to put his life back together. Here is where things get more engrossing. Since the video game is a prequel to the Jason Bourne trilogy, gamers will be in control of the Treadstone CIA assassin version of Jason Bourne. The game seems to have elements from Indigo Prophesy, where you let the story unfold in front of you. In addition, there are some contact sensitive moments in the game (ala God of War). Unfortunately, Matt Damon does not appear to be entailed in the video game. All of the screenshots show Jason Bourne being played by some random character that looks completely different from Matt Damon; nevertheless, that is a minor inconvenience. The gameplay will range from assassinate and escape missions (ala Assassin’s Creed) to just plain eradicating your foes. One aspect of the game that will appease fans of the movie is the Wambosi mission. This was the first scene in the Bourne Identity where Mr. Bourne loses his memory. It is not known if Jason Bourne will execute Wambosi in the video game iteration; on the contrary, it gives gamers more insight on the movies. Jason Bourne is not James Bond, (although Jason Bourne could kill James Bond in under 5 seconds) so Jason will not have the luxury of futuristic gadgets. Jason will utilize his environment in the video game just like he did in the movies. You will be able to use rudimentary firearms like pistols, shotguns, and machine guns. Special maneuvers will also be at your disposal such as an instantaneous stun attacks. The Bourne Conspiracy is a video game that complements the Jason Bourne movies, and it is slated for a 2008 release date.
