Web Based In-house ERP Software for To-order Manufacturers

VISIBILITY.net ERP, a new generation in-house solution, is one of the first Enterprise Business Applications to be written from the onset entirely using the Microsoft®.NET framework and web services architecture. This in-house ERP solution provides technology advantages in combination with specific market focused business functions designed to address the demanding needs of ETO and other To-Order manufacturers.

ERP systems by their nature capture and transact large volumes of business data. As a result, data access and usability are critical to delivering efficiencies across the entire enterprise. For most ERP systems this remains an enormous limitation. VISIBILITY.net changes all of that by providing hyper-linked intuitive drill through capabilities turning data into an information business advantage. Additionally, the ERP system architecture enables all users, the ability to operate the system where and when they need regardless of location or time zone. Users both inside and outside (including global multi-lingual users) have secure 24x7 access including suppliers, customers and users ‘on the road’. It adds up to speed, responsiveness and collaborative efficiencies throughout the enterprise.

In addition to its To-Order specific business functionality, the VISIBILITY.net user interface operates intuitively with a windows look and feel contained within a standard browser. This approach allows users to operate in multiple areas of the system simultaneously, all within a single user session. This reduces user counts (not possible with most web applications). Achieved with a ZERO Client device footprint, VISIBILITY.net does not require any software on client PCs/workstations to operate, lessening software overhead and substantially reducing workstation device support. All software resides on one or more servers (database, application, etc).

With VISIBILITY.net’s native use of the Microsoft®.NET architecture and object-oriented technology it can easily integrate with, and use, other applications by communication with XML web services (a current generation intersystem communications capability).

Visibility Corporation (www.visibility.com) is a leading developer and supplier of business software solutions designed for the unique needs of project-based, engineer-to-order and to-order manufacturers. VISIBILITY.net is an integrated ERP solution and more. Offering unparalleled functionality and integrated workflow, this in-house solution cost effectively delivers the power of .NET-based Web services for use with either a Microsoft SQL Server™ or Oracle® database. Conducting business any place, any time, any where is a reality, deployable with unprecedented flexibility.

Soa Helps To-order Manufacturers Streamline Business Operations

By: Caitlin Gilmore | 05/12/2007 | Technology
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) essentially is a collection of services which facilitate the exchange of data between disparate systems. SOA allows different applications to communicate with each other and participate in business processes regardless of the operating systems or programming languages underlying those applications. This dramatically simplifies the ability to integrate systems and data. SOA can be distributed over a network and can be combined together and reused to create more integrated business applications. These services communicate with each other by passing data from one service to another, or by coordinating an activity between one or more services.
