How To Watch Gossip Girl

Sometimes Gossip Girl would spare a certain episode that leaves you baffled at the end, this was probably one which could not deliver the standard I am accustomed to. What might work to their benefit would be to make more use of the underused characters like Jenny and Eric, probably even tune down the extra drama with Serena and Brown which wasn't even worthwhile this time. Some more Chuck and Blair, more elaborate story-lines, lose the the mean girls and maybe things might look up next week.

As the summer is drawing to a close, Blair and Chuck are madly in love and adjusting to their new "in a relationship" status, breaking all the traditional rules of dating as would be expected. Serena returns from her European adventure with many secrets to hide and a complicated relationship with Carter Baizen. Nate returns from his travels with a mysterious brunette, Bree Buckley (guest star JoAnna Garcia).

Penn Badgley has been a busy boy lately, what with filming all those romantic scenes on Gossip Girl with Hilary Duff, and promoting his new thriller, The Stepfather. Out on his press tour for the film, Badgley took time to talk Gossip Girl gossip with MTV, and confirm the rumor that Lady Gaga will soon be appearing on the show. "Yeah, she's a part of the threesome -- I'm kidding," he joked with MTV News at The Stepfather premiere. "She's not, but there is a threesome and there is Lady Gaga, so you gotta keep watching." Well, if not Gaga, then who will be involved in the teenage menage a trois?

Blair has the perfect boyfriend and intends to follow Yale. She seems to have the perfect life, arousing her rivals’ envy. While everyone is taken up with studies, Blair’s best friend, Serena van der Woodsen, unexpectedly returns to New York after a long absence while she supposedly attended a boarding school in Connecticut. Step by step, Serena goes into her routine having a strong impact on Blair’s perfect life. After all, if you are wealthy, you’re not necessarily free from trouble. Excepting the Upper East Side elite, the show also focuses on Brooklyn outsiders Dan, Jenny and Rufus Humphrey and their ties to the rich. Maybe they are incomparably happy with their simple life, bare of exuberance. But… “You’re nobody until you’re talked about.”

In need of publicity for his new hotel, Chuck decides to move up his club's opening and enlists Serena's help to get the word out to her celebrity clients. Feeling left out of the planning, Blair  attempts to win Chuck's approval by secretly helping him with a problem concerning opening night. Dan is unnerved when he finally watches one of Olivia's (guest star Hilary Huff) infamous sex scenes with co-star and real-life boyfriend at the time, Patrick Robinson (guest star Simon Miller). Jenny is forced to choose between her relationship with Eric and her new role as Queen Bee. Rufus gets Lily into the Halloween spirit.
