Looking at the Panasonic TX-L37S10

The newest entry level television set from Panasonic, the TX-L37S10 has received mostly positive reviews. Some reviewers find the TX-L37S10 a good find; but others do not exactly feel the same. However, taking a closer look at this model, its features and its specifications, one will find the there is something wrong with the not so good reviews. Of course, aside from the pricing, one should keep in mind that it is an entry level HD TV set before it is judged.

The TX-L37S10 comes with a full 37 inch diagonal measurement viewing screen. It is also capable of accurately rendering 1080p HD video input, making it excellent for viewing Blu Ray Hi Def content and content from a PS3.

Although some may think that the absence of the latest 100 hz processor is a setback, serious gamers see it as a real advantage. Compared to the other models that are higher end, the new Panasonic TX-L37S10 has less motion lag because the processor is not too fast.

There are complaints about the colour reproduction TX-L37S10 manual setting not being available from its onscreen menu. Panasonic makes up for it with high contrast ratio. In reality, however, the average person may not even notice that deficit. Even if one notices the lack of that option, it may not really matter at all.

The TX-L37S10 does boast a full 50,000:1 contrast ratio, meaning that the pictures produced are the sharpest available anywhere. In HD mode, this TV set more than does justice to any content one wishes to throw at it. One can almost see the threads in the clothing worn by characters in close up shots if one wishes.

Built in surround sound systems are usually just expected in the more expensive high-end television sets. Of course, this is not without remedy. The manufacturer did include RCA output jacks that can help if one wishes to add a home theatre system.

Looking at its good points, Panasonic has added an SD slot to the TX-L37S10. This allows the buyer to play contents from external devices with convenience. Inputs such as SCART, PC, HDMI, Composite and S Video are included.

Another plus is that this TX-L37S10 model, like its brethren in the S10 series, has the IPS Alpha panel construction. This helps in how the images are held together, which makes the pictures sharper. This is true even when viewing from a wider angle. There is no bleaching effect even when watching from an angle.

Putting into consideration its features, its flaws and the pricing, the new Panasonic TX-L37S10 is really a good buy. In fact, it is not just good. One really gets more than what is paid for.
