“I can’t take this frustration with my satellite TV anymore” I told Kim when he came around the house. It seemed like it wasn’t enough I was paying over $50 per month for the 4 rooms I have connected. Every time there is a storm or strong winds, the reception is too bad I start to miss my cable connection.
A few months ago I had the cable removed since their fees had been increased by 8% in the last 5 months. They told me satellite TV was what everyone else was getting. They told me that it would be cheaper. They said it was a digital signal and that the quality was better than cable.
What they didn’t tell me I that I can miss to watch satellite when the weather was bad. “Why does the weather have anything to do with me watching my favourite per view shows? Why didn’t anyone tell me that with satellite TV I could spend a whole week without the service when the weather was bad?
Now I not only have to listen to the weather man when I’m going out or traveling, I also have to watch the forecasts before I switch on my television. It just not fair. Had they told me this before I removed my cable, I would rather have paid much more for a stable service.
If you have a satellite connection, you must have the same frustration at times just like I do. Satellite is generally better quality with digital signal and all but heavens, cant it just be a little stable during strong weather.
We were talking about the advantages of satellite over cable with Kim when we decided to test the new internet technology. There is this software that we managed to download called the pc 2007 elite edition.
We could not believe it when the software said they offer over 3000 channels from around the world. We downloaded a copy just to test it and even found they also had world free live radio streaming. It’s such a bargain at $49.95 and obviously a good alternative to satellite when you and your television are under the weather.
I’m still testing and retesting the software but so far it seems ok. Most of the stations are free to air but hey, anything but nothing when my satellite is down and out.
