This is the full reason why Serena left because in the same night she had slept with her best friend’s boyfriend and killed a man. Part of the main story arc also involves Serena's relationship with Dan Humphrey, an outsider from Brooklyn who she begins to date but has a rocky road with because of their different family backgrounds.

Chuck changes his club’s opening date and gets Serena’s help to invite her celebrity clients. Blair secretly helps Chuck with a problem during opening night to gain his approval, and Dan gets uneasy while watching Olivia’s sex scenes with her then boyfriend.
