Steam Cleaners – For Exceptional Cleaning Results on Most Surfaces

If you are looking out for a way to achieve exceptional cleaning results while saving time and money on heavy-duty cleaning tasks, maybe it’s time to check out steam cleaners. Steam cleaning machines use boilers to heat water to extremely high temperatures. The steam generated exits through a steam lance and can be utilized to clean and sanitize virtually all surfaces without using any harsh chemicals.

When it comes to cleaning, steam cleaners can clean all those nooks, corners and hard-to-reach spaces that traditional mops simply cannot. Although steam cleaners have been in use for a long time, they have gained more acceptance and popularity only with the increasing emphasis on ‘green cleaning’. Since steam cleaning machines do away with the need for abrasive cleaning chemicals, they are definitely a ‘green’ choice. They are also water efficient, as they provide effective cleaning capabilities without the use of excessive water, as with conventional pressure washers.

Advantages of Steam Cleaning
The best thing about using steam cleaners is that there is no need to use separate cleaning chemicals for sanitizing or disinfecting. The power of hot steam does it all. So, you no longer have to buy, store or inhale harmful cleaning chemicals during every cleaning session. This way steam cleaning is both good for your health and an environment-friendly alternative.

Steam cleaners are also versatile enough to be used on almost all surfaces. Most models of commercial steam cleaners are capable of cleaning the surfaces within the home like bathrooms and kitchens. You can even spot clean carpets and upholstery. Most people believe that steam cleaner are meant for use only on hard surfaces. In reality, steam cleaning equipment is safe and effective for use on any surface that is heat resistant.

That also gives you one more reason to choose steam cleaners – you can clean almost everywhere around the house without having to purchase separate equipment for each surface.

Steam cleaning units are also available for more rugged industrial applications. Industrial steam cleaners usually feature extremely powerful capabilities – temperatures up to 360°F and pressure levels up to 150 PSI – that make them unsuitable for residential applications. However, these industrial versions are excellent for heavy-duty applications in industrial and commercial settings like food manufacturing plants and food service facilities. Additionally, the best suppliers offer machines with direct water feed or continuous refill to allow users to work non-stop for extended periods.

If you are interested in vapor steam cleaners, make sure the models have advanced technologies that prevent the buildup of scale or calcium within the boiler, like boiler self-cleaning technology. This way, you do not have to use harsh chemicals to clean the boiler and risk damaging its components. Additionally, proper maintenance will prolong the life of the machine.

Users should note that there are some disadvantages to steam cleaning machines, as well. Primarily, these machines do not offer sufficient pressure for degreasing applications. If you are dealing with heavy grease, you should opt for a steam pressure washer for best results.

Also, steam cleaning equipment is not sufficient for cleaning entire carpeted areas. Standard steam cleaners are especially good for spot cleaning carpets. If you need to clean the entire carpet, it is best to choose advanced carpet cleaning machines utilizing steam or hot water. The best machines for this purpose are low-moisture carpet cleaners, designed to clean carpets effectively while leaving them drier.

It is clear that the advantages of steam cleaners out weight the disadvantages; making steam cleaning the future of commercial cleaning.
