Are you ready to plan your upcoming Jamaica vacation? If this is your first time traveling to this popular Caribbean vacation destination, you may be unsure how to pick the best resort. A good Jamaica resort can make or break your trip, so it is important to make your choice wisely. Before you choose an all-inclusive resort, what should you do?
1 - Research Your Staying Options
There are many all-inclusive resorts in Jamaica. These resorts all have something special to offer guests. For example, some resorts are beachfront resorts, which are nice if you have a love for the water and want to enjoy activities like swimming, snorkeling, or windsurfing. Some resorts are more geared towards those who prefer land-based activities. At these resorts, you may find a rock-climbing wall, onsite golf course, tennis courts, spa, and much more.
You will also see that some all-inclusive resorts in Jamaica are themed or cater to tourists of a specific age group. This is important to keep in mind. Consider the ages of your traveling party. On a family vacation, it is best to opt for resorts that allow guests of all ages or those that are labeled as family resorts. If on a group trip with friends, it is best to opt for a singles resort or a resort classified as an adult only resort. If on a honeymoon or romantic getaway, all-inclusive resorts in Jamaica that are known as adult only resorts or couples resorts are best.
2 - Examine Onsite Activities
It is said that all-inclusive resorts in Jamaica are designed so that you never need to leave. There is so much to do and see right onsite. These resorts are often jam-packed full of activities. This is nice, but see what activities are listed as inclusions and which ones require an extra fee. This can help you choose the all-inclusive resort that best fits your wants and needs. Choose a resort that has a lot to offer. As previously stated, all-inclusive beachfront resorts are known to have water-based activities that include windsurfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, and so forth. If these activities are listed as inclusions, you don't have to pay extra for them. Consider this checking a cost saving measure; and, if you need to pay extra, at least you know about the added cost upfront.
3 - Examine Your Onsite Eating Options
As with some forms of onsite entertainment, your food, snacks, and drinks should be included in the cost of your stay at an all-inclusive resort in Jamaica. Once again, this is good, but where exactly can you eat or drink? Most Jamaica vacations last for five to seven days. It is no secret that eating at the same restaurant over and over again can get boring. You don't want to wake up and think "another day another meal at ---." On your vacation, you want to wake up each and everyday and be excited about what awaits you. As tedious as this sounds, your eating options will have an impact on that excitement. Get multiple choices to enjoy a meal, a snack, or a drink.
4 - Look at Pictures
It is important to closely examine the inclusions and any age restrictions of all-inclusive resorts in Jamaica. They can give you an idea of what you can expect, but they don't give you the full picture. But, pictures do. Although you are shown pictures of standard resort rooms or suites, most are similar in nature. Do the resort rooms look welcoming, great for a family vacation, or romantic for a honeymoon? Envision yourself in the room; do you look happy? You also want to look at general pictures of the resort grounds. Does the resort in question look like a place that you will enjoy yourself and have a good time? It should.
5 - Price Compare Last
If you followed this list in terms of order, you would have reviewed your all-inclusive resort choices. Along the way, you looked at your onsite eating options, the activities listed as inclusions, and you closely examined pictures. Any resorts that you didn't like should have been eliminated from your list of choices. Your list that might have originally included 20 or more all-inclusive resorts in Jamaica may be down to only five or less. These are resorts that you like and can see yourself staying at. Now, it is time to get the best deal. Price compare these resorts.
