Although, Yorkshire owes much of its growth to the industrial revolution, which took place during the 19th century. The county boasted a popular coal, textile & steel industry during this time, which increased its population & made it much more rich.

During world war two, Yorkshire became a key base for raf Bomber aeroplanes.

There are lots of things to do in Yorkshire, which contain sometimes great museums & art galleries.

Because Yorkshire is a huge county with several towns and cities, it has plenty of opportunities for shopping. although, serious shoppers might rather visit the biggest cities like Leeds, York and Sheffield to get access to the largest brands and the widest variety of stores.
