Airfare: Get Ahead of the Game

Today I'm going to talk about getting the best deal on airfare. With the Internet, it became so much easy to get air line tickets. No longer you have to drive 50 miles to see a lazy travel agents who is overcharging you shamelessly. Now you can go to websites such as Expedia or Travelocity and buy a ticket over there for a reasonable price. But, there is a big but over here, the problem with those sites that you enter a specific date and the website returns you the flights and prices for that date only. How do you find the price of the ticket a week or a month from now without going manually and searching this date. This can get pretty frustrating. Also, how do you compare prices between travel brokers such as Expedia and Travelocity?

I'll tell you. There is website called Farecompare.com. It allows you to see what price of the ticket is up to ELEVEN month from now. After you select departure and destination cities, you will be presented with the screen where you can browse the prices for individual dates from now. You will notice how prices fluctuate around certain dates. The airlines don't want you to know your stuff. After you selected the desired dates, Farecompare is going to search hundred travel brokers and returns thousands of results for you to choose. And, trust me, you will get much better fares and spend less time looking for them.
