If you like country house hotels, and you are looking for an exclusive and luxury tropical vacation then check out Villa Nova in Barbados.
A Country House Hotel carries with an image of a resplendent house somewhere in the south of England, so to discover a country house hotel hidden away in Barbados, where you could spend a luxury tropical vacation is an exciting discovery.
This is just plain good old fashioned luxury, where you could have a really exclusive vacation staying in an all suite hotel in the tropics called Villa Nova Villa Nova has a great history involving British Prime Ministers and even Royalty so to have it converted into a modern hotel with all the conveniences you associate with the very top end of the market is amazing.
An all suite hotel the Villa Nova has just 28 beautifully furnished and spacious accommodations. Each one has a private terrace with tables and chairs for in room dining and very smart sun beds known as steamer chairs for plain good old fashioned relaxation with a good book and a cold drink. The bathrooms in the suites have both bath and separate walk in shower, and as you might expect the toiletries are all top of the range. Nina Campbell, top interior designer designed the suites and they really are the epitome of luxury, and yet at the same time being really comfortable. There are widescreen televisions, DVD and CD players for the guest's use. Many of the rooms overlook another beautiful part of the hotel's tropical garden which contains the lovely swimming pool with lots of wooden sunbeds and plenty of umbrellas
All of this luxury, including the real luxury country house hotel ambience would be wasted without fine dining and cuisine to go with it, and Villa Nova does not disappoint in this respect either. It has international renown not only for the quality of the food but also the fact that the menus use locally produced organic food, and what you get is not only the flavours of Barbados but also the finest of Europe as well. You can dine al fresco on the terrace, in the dining room, or eat by the pool or in your suite. There are the kind of facilities you might expect to find in a top Barbados Luxury Hotel which includes two all weather tennis courts, a fitness room and gymnasium, with golf privileges nearby at Sandy Lane, and the Royal Westmoreland. There is an equestrian centre, hiking trails, and although some miles from the sea you can partake in almost everything from scuba diving to waterskiing, as Villa Nova has a west coast beach club. Finally the Spa which is really spectacular with eight spacious treatment villas set within the rainforest.
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff at Villa Nova and this country house hotel will pamper you, with day trips and picnics with a Villa Nova hamper. You can take day cruises on luxury catamarans, or visit the Tobago Cays in the Grenadines.
Best of all is an atmosphere that you won't want to leave. An exclusive luxury tropical vacation in a lovely country house boutique hotel, in a superb setting in an estate in the hills of Barbados, where you will receive the ultimate in service. Many people describe the Villa Nova as the best Barbados Luxury Hotel the equivalent of the old Sandy Lane, which is a compliment indeed. By the way there are no children under the age of twelve.
