According to a recent poll onl 70 to 75% of the population in the U.S. Recycles , unfortunately this just isn't enough . The Harris poll indicates that it is approximately 25% of the population who doesn't recycle That is a lot of people , and you might think : This is a normal number because most adults weren't taught as children to recycle , but young adults are recycling, correct?" Wrong, again ! . About 3 out of every ten people aged 18 to 30 do not separate their aluminum, paper, or glass from their garbageand that is 30 percent and that is 30 percent .,
So What percentage of people recycle who are seniors? Well, actually these are probably the best recyclers because about 80% of seniors recycle according to the same Harris Poll.
What Percentage of People Recycle and Why isn't Everyone else Doing the Same?
Most people were cited as saying that recycling was too time consuming . Maybe the following quick fact will change their mind. taking the time to recycle only takes 5% of the energy that is needed to produce more of the product. This means that we can keep limited resources but it also means by minimizing the amount of carbon emissions we put into the air, and this can be by as much as 95%.

This study also showed that the percentage depending on where they lived in the U.S. . For example, people of the east and west cost where more likely to recycle. There was a larger percentage of people that recycled. In this area almost 86% of people recycled. whereas people from in the South did not recycle as frequently . It is estimated only 67 to 70% of the population recycled here.
Among those questioned said they did not have enough time to recycle}. Other people said it took too much effort to recycle.
