Best of East Africa Safari – Kenya and Tanzania

DAY 1  NAIROBI.
Arrive Nairobi in Nairobi you be collected and taken to the Nairobi Safari Club/Hilton hotel/ Panari hotel/ New Stanley Hotel for Overnight

DAY 2: LAKE MANYARA.
After an early breakfast transfer to Arusha where you will be met by your guide to start your safari. Leave Arusha for Lake Manyara National Park. Drive towards the great Rift Wall across the Ardai Plains. Lake Manyara in shallow depression at the base of the Rift Valley escarpment. The Park is impressive in its variety to habitats - it is home to 40 species of large mammals and has a wonderful variety of bird life. Spend the day game viewing in this beautiful park, with its dense rain forest, swamps and soda lake. Tree climbing lions can be seen draped across the branches of acacia trees.
Overnight at Lake Serena lodge (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

DAY 3, 4 & 5 SERENGETI.
Depart Lake Manyara for the plains of the Serengeti via the Olduvai Gorge .Visit the Olduvai Gorge where remains of prehistoric man and animals can be seen. Experience Africa the way it was before the arrival of the Great White Hunters.You will have three days to explore the seemingly boundless plains and woodlands of this great eco-system. Predators, such as lions, hyena and cheetah follow the herd of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles as they have done through the ages.
The serengeti has the highest concentration of wild animals roaming free in the world.Overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge (Breakfast,Lunch,Dinner)

DAY 6: NGORONGORO CRATER.
After a morning game drive,depart the Serengeti Conservation Area for ngorongoro Crater. Arrive at the lodge on the Crater rim where you will enjoy the magnificent views of caldera you will do game drives to the crater floor,a unique animal world of 160 sq km. Ngorongoro Crater is a 20km wide volcanic crater with stiff walls of 600 metres. Despite the stiff walls there is a lot of movements of animals between the crater and Serengeti .The has an extra-ordinary diversity of wildlife as it has permanent water and pasture. The crater is the last refuge for east Africa's Black Rhino population. The maasai and their co-exist harmoniously with the wildlife of the crater ,as they have done for centuries. You will have the opportunity to visit the maasai village and experience their unique culture. (optional)
Overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge (breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

DAY 7:TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK.
Leave the Ngorongoro Crater after breakfast and make your way to Tarangire National Park. you will have a picnic lunch enroute.
Tarangire is home to large herds of elephant and the only park where the fringe eared Orix and the lesser kudu can be seen.A spectacular baobab woodland in the north is home for some of the 260 species of birds in this enchanting park.
Tarangire river is the only permanent water source for many miles between july and october. Overnight Tarangire Sopa Lodge/Tarangire Tented Camp (breakfast, Lunch and, & dinner)

DAY 8.ARUSHA.
Depart Tarangire National Park after a last game drive and lunch to arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon. Today we will visit a traditional Maasai village in the area.You will have the opportunity to see how they live and how they maintain their traditional pastoral lifestyle.
Overnight Mountain Village (breakfast, Lunch).

Day 9. AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK.
Breakfast in Arusha and proceed to Namanga border, cross over proceeding to Amboseli to Amboseli at the foot of the impressive snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak. arrive in time for lunch with game viewing to the Lodge. Afternoon game drive in the Park. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge.

Day 10. AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK...
Full day to explore and savour the beauty of this Park searching for elephants, buffalo, lion, cheetah, wildebeest, hyena, jackal, zebra and the maasai giraffe. Meals and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge.

DAY 11;ABERDARES NATIONAL PARK.
Depart Amboseli Drive north to the Aberdare Country Club for lunch. After lunch you will be driven into the aberdares to the Ark, a lodge situated deep in the Aberdare forest at an altitude of over 2000 metres throughout the day and night observe various forest game as they visit the waterhole and saltlick, ensurig you many exciting moments.
Overnight at The ark (breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

DAY 12 & 13: SAMBURU.
Depart After Breakfast to Samburu arriving at your lodge in time for lunch after a few hours of relaxation, spend the rest of the afternoon game viewing. The banks of the lif-giving Uaso Nyiro and the adjoining game reserve have a lot to offer in terms of game, for example elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and the nmore savannah game.
Overnight :Samburu Serena Lodge (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

DAY 14: LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK.
In the morning proceed to your lodge situated on the shores of Lake Nakuru, one of the beautiful Rift valley Lakes, also home to thousands of flamingos and other species of birds and animals. Afternoon Game viewing.
Overnight :Lake Nakuru (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

DAY 15 & 16: MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE.
Proceed to the floor of the Great Rift Valley, the longest rift in the crust of the earth, to Maasai Mara. You will spend two days in this natural paradise among zebra, wildebeest, girafe, buffalo, elephant, antelope and gazelle. You will encounter prides of lion resting in the shade of acacia trees or lying low in the grass wait for next prey. there is a good chance of sporting cheetah and if your lucky, shy leopard.
Overnight at Mara Serena lodge/Keekorok lodge/Mara sarova Tented Camp (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

DAY 17:NAIROBI.
After breakfast and a final game drive return to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon, Farewell Dinner at The Carnivore Restaurant, transfer to the airport for your flight out.
