There are many things that can differentiate a boutique hotel from any other great looking hotel but an eye for detail and firmness and the attitude of no compromise on quality are the most impressive and striking.

There are many things to look up in any boutique hotel like the number of rooms they are having, good designs in interiors and exteriors, excellent room service, nice food etc. But the two most important factors that differentiate boutique hotels from others is the quality and the eye for detail.

Quality:

A boutique hotel should see very seriously that all the areas of its operation are giving the best quality service by using best quality resources. The word of attention should always be ‘quality’. Right from cleanliness in the rooms and toilets to the standard of the food, guests of boutique hotels expects more from these hotels as this is what these hotels are expert in. Hence, hotel owners should check that they accomplish all the expectations of the guests. A boutique hotel means a constant struggle to get the best quality services for their guests. Following are some areas where there is very urgent need of attention for the very best in quality.

Fabrics and clothes - this is the most sensitive area and has to be mentioned wherever there is a mention of quality in context of boutique hotels. Curtains, bed sheets, bed linen, furniture coverings, pillow covers, bathrobes, towels, tablecloths and all other fabric provided by hotel should be of the most superior quality. This is the reason why most of the well-known boutique hotels use frette linen and out of the ordinary netting in fabrics. Once this is done, this is guaranteed that guests will definitely notice this thing in your hotel.

Furnishings - boutique hotels must understand that whether it is a legitimate historic piece of art or a modern and a contemporary painting or some other art, good furnishing and good furniture always get more of the glories.

Accessories - boutique hotel owners must spend lots and lots of time in collecting and assessing the exact and matching piece for their hotels. This should be kept in mind that the superlative quality of the accessories like lamp shades, vases, candles, candle stands, can make a normal looking room look like a dreamland.

Food - boutique hotels are popular for their best quality food and cuisines. This means that they have to use the very best ingredients, spices and should always look for natural products rather than processed or preserved food items. They should also make effort to get the best chefs to provide excellent food for their guests.

Detail

Detailed checking of everything also plays a major part in escalating the popularity of any boutique hotel. Some examples can be “the way in which cushions are set”, “napkins are folded and applied” and “the way breakfast tray is laid before you”. These are some of the many things in which addition of small etiquette and little changes can make the difference. Boutique hotel people make every attempt to make things look different than usual and at the same time look stylish. These things are seen into so deeply just to make guests feel as if in home. Boutique hotels are a huge success because they have the tendency to practice all the creativity, all the expertise and all the eye for the detail in their business and this is what has increased their popularity among the travelers.
