This increase in tourists has caused a renewed passion for road trips and is a great way to see things in your own country. Spending a weekend travelling around some of the lesser visited areas can be educational and fun for you and your family, especially if you have young children with you. Owning your own caravan gives you the freedom for these road trips and will allow you to explore far and wide. These homes from home will often have many of the conveniences and luxuries of your own home but have the added benefit allowing you and your family to travel almost anywhere. The only disadvantage of caravanning in the UK for most would have to be the weather, or at least the unpredictability of it. Hill walking is a great past time of mine while away for weekends in the caravan but often we get caught in the rain.   Returning to the caravan we would have to remove our muddy boots outside as well as our waterproof over clothes. There is nothing worse in my opinion than returning to your caravan after a great day walking the hills only to have to practically strip down to your underwear outside. To prevent this happening we purchased a caravan awning to increase the size of our usable space especially outdoors. Not unlike a large family tent, a caravan awning is generally made from acrylic or polyester for awning material and steel or aluminium for the frame. They are available in many different colours, shapes, sizes, and if you’re careful can be accommodated within any budget. The unfortunate side to these caravan awnings is the weight. No matter how much technology advances, the size of some of these awnings just makes them very heavy to transport and very awkward to set up. However modern technology or modern designs at least, have produced a caravan awning that is ideally suited to those caravanners that enjoy weekend road trips all year round. A caravan porch awning is a lot smaller than its bigger counterpart but it is also much lighter and far easier to erect at the start of your trip and take down at the end. Not only are these caravan porch awnings smaller, lighter and faster to erect they are also a lot less expensive than the full awnings. So no longer do you have to trail muddy boots into your nice clean caravan or drip your waterproofs dry in the shower area, all you need is a caravan awning.
