If Caribbean vacations appeal to you, there are many choices you have to make. The most important choice of all? Your Caribbean resort. Where you choose to stay on your tropical vacation can literally make or break your trip. So, how do you make the right choice? What should you look for in a resort?
1 - All-Inclusive Status
Resorts in the Caribbean come in many different formats. In fact, some are just traditional hotels. Although any will put a roof over your head, you want more. Caribbean vacations are meant to be special; ensure yours is. You can do this by opting for a stay at an all-inclusive Caribbean resort. With these establishments, you get more than just a roof over your head. In fact, you get much more.
All-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean include the cost of your food, drinks, snacks, tips, room or suite, some forms of onsite entertainment, as well as qualifying airport transfers. Airfare can be included too, although this is optional. The cost will seem high at first, especially when compared to traditional Caribbean hotels, but you get a better value for your money in the end. You essentially, prepay for a good percentage of your trip. You aren't left buying all your meals or paying for all your entertainment, as you already did.
2 - Lots of Inclusions
Opting for a stay at an all-inclusive Caribbean resort is a good start, but you still have many resorts to choose from. Narrow down your choices by opting for a resort with lots of inclusions. Inclusions are included in the cost of your stay, meaning you don't pay extra. Your food, snacks, and drinks should be included, but what about alcoholic beverages? If you are of legal drinking age, get them listed as an inclusion. Also, consider onsite activities. Beachfront resorts in the Caribbean should have many beach-related inclusions, such as snorkeling, scuba diving, windsurfing, and so forth.
3 - Multiple Onsite Choices
A good all-inclusive Caribbean resort is one that gives you choices. Not all travelers are the same. Just because one tourist enjoys eating all of their meals on-the-go, it doesn't mean you do too. Look for multiple onsite restaurants. Mix it up with cafes or bars, as well as casual restaurants and elegant sit-down restaurants with a dress code. Do the same with land and water based activities. The more choices you have, in terms of your all-inclusive Caribbean resort inclusions, the happier you will be.
4 - Good Deals or Everyday Low Prices
As previously stated, a stay at an all-inclusive Caribbean resort will seem higher priced than a traditional hotel; however, you get more for your money in the end. Always keep this in mind, especially if you are new to all-inclusive Caribbean vacations. With that said, don't pay more than you need to. If after considering location, all-inclusive status, inclusions, and multiple choices you still have two or three resorts left on your list, price compare to find the best deal. Which resort is it cheaper to stay at?
Remember, Caribbean vacations are supposed to be amazing. For that reason, don't choose your Caribbean hotel or all-inclusive resort on price alone. Consider more factors. Luckily, it shouldn't cost you an arm and a leg to have the all-inclusive vacation of your dreams. Many all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean either provide great deals or everyday low prices.
5 - A Resort that Look Like Fun
Most people take Caribbean vacations to have fun. You may have a different goal. Romance may be yours. Regardless of your reason for travel, ensure your resort gives you want you need. This can not only be done by examining inclusions, but pictures too. If opting for a family vacation, choose a resort that looks family-friendly. If opting for a romantic getaway, choose a Caribbean resort that looks romantic. If opting for a trip with friends, choose a resort that looks like fun.
As previously stated, the resort or hotel you choose with have a defining impact on your vacation, so make your choice wisely.
