I came here in 1975, from the Boston Museum of Fine Art School,when I returned one of my teachers glaringly said, did you enjoy art Disney Land ?When He said it I was taken aback and even insulted but now that I live in San Miguel de Allende Mx, I guess it is a sort of Art Disneyland.
For thirty years now I have explored and been a part of many of the classes, even given many of them. The instructors and the things they represent may cover manyares. True the classes and ideas are taught in such a way as to seem like a playground for adults. In one of the classes I went to at one time, I was told that the human being nurtures four aspects in his life that of play, work, meditation and study.
