London has been chosen to hold 2012 olympics.

London boasts an interesting history that goes back over 2 000 years. while this time, the city has become one of the financial & cultural capitals of the world. its also suffered from the plague, devastating fire, civil war, and terrorist attacks.

London suffered particularly during world war 2. It suffered bad damage from bombs during this time and lots of thousands of kids in the city were evacuated out to the greenery to avoid the bombs. The worst bombing took place between 7 September 1940 and 10 May 1941.

London is a wonderful place for tourists, especially as its got so many museums & art galleries. these include the Natural History Museum, which was established in 1881. This wonderful museum has sometimes fabulous exhibits, which include the famous replica diplodocus skeleton, often known as dippy, which is displayed in the museum's central hall. Another wonderful exhibit is a blue whale skeleton, which weighs a massive 10 tons & is exhibited in the large mammals hall.

London has some of the best stores in the world. Whether you're are you looking for designer fashion, souvenirs or tasty food, you're certain to find the activities you want here.

One of the city's most well known shops is harrods in knightsbridge. This department store is one of the most famous in britain & was founded in 1834. now run by Mohamed Al Fayed, it employs over five thousand people & has many designer concessions.

London boasts marvellous museums, which we are sure that all of us will find breathtaking. From marvellous theatres, to vip nightclubs & wine bars, there's something for everyone to enjoy in London.

One of the most well known nightclubs is the Embassy, which is a members club on Old Burlington st. The night club is quite pricey, but it is full of celebs & marvellous for star spotting. in addition to this, it serves marvellous food by michelin award winner Garry Hollihead.
