Surprisingly, Cricket – the highest acclaimed sport in the world – was included once in Kuala Lumpur in 1998 Commonwealth Games, but is still an unrecognized sport in the list of CGF. On the other hand, Commonwealth Youth Games are permitted to include a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 8 sports. Out of these, maximum 2 can be team sports.
