Copper Mountain - Flights & Flying - Copper Mountain Car Rentals & Transportation

The Copper Mountain Resort is packed with excitement year-round. From carving effortless turns in Colorado’s deepest powder, to jamming out to free concerts while enjoying libations with friends and family, visitors flock to this unique mountain community winter, summer, spring and fall.

The best part about Copper Mountain is it’s easy access from Denver. To help plan your Copper Mountain vacation this article discusses the best options for booking flights to Copper Mountain, renting cars and even ground transportation from Denver to Copper Mountain. Read more about planning your Copper Mountain adventure.

Flying Into Copper Mountain

Just an hour and a half drive from the Denver International Airport, flights to Copper Mountain offer year-round access from all over the world. With an abundant variety of airlines to Denver, competitive prices for airfare are easily found. Flights with Frontier Airlines, JetBlue, Ted by United, and several others offer direct flights.

Depending on how long your getaway is, sometimes it is best if you rent your own car for transportation. Copper Mountain car rentals allow you to explore all of Summit County, Colorado. The “Summit” as it is known by locals contains some of North America’s favorite ski resorts. Here you will have immediate access to Keystone, Breckenridge, Arapahoe Basin, Vail and even Beaver Creek. In the winter, with the snow is flying, this area in Colorado transforms into a skiing and snowboarding paradise. So, if you want to explore Copper Mountain and beyond it is advisable to rent your own car.

On the other hand, Copper Mountain and Summit County play host to a FREE transportation system called the Summit Stage. Many visitors book flights to Copper Mountain and book transfers from Denver and never worry about renting a car. Once you’re in Summit County, you can hop on the local transportation and access all the outer lying resorts.

Depending on how big your travel group is, transfers from Denver to Copper Mountain can save you money. If you’re coming with a small group, say 2 to 3 people, shuttles are a good bargain. However, if you have a group any bigger than this, having your own wheels can save you a lot of money. This way, you can all pile into a large SUV and split gas money.

Either way you decide to get to Copper Mountain, you are guaranteed to have incredible memories of your Colorado vacation.
