The world’s most famous parade has become an Orlando Christmas experience for park guests during their Universal Studios Christmas vacation, featuring some of the most popular balloons and floats from the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. The excitement and pageantry of the parade, complete with a festive tree lighting ceremony by Santa Claus himself, is exhibited each day of the Orlando Christmas season through the New Year.
Beginning at approximately 5 pm each evening from December 8th through January 1st, the parade will feature the best of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade including:
• Classic, authentic balloons and colorful themed floats
• Marching bands from across the country
• Spectacular street performers
• Universal’s most popular characters
• Santa Claus to complete your Orlando Christmas
• And more!
Two new floats will be debuting at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade at Universal Studios – the Story Time float, complete with Mother Goose and other popular children’s storybook characters, and the School Bus float, with high school graduates and a professional driver.
If you’re looking for an up-close view of the high-flying, cold air balloons check out Balloonopolis located in the Production Central section of Universal Studios. Scooby Doo, Jimmy Neutron, Pikachu and others will be on display this Orlando Christmas, as well as the actual Macy’s Tour Bus!
