When in Ireland, you might think of visiting Cork City. Cork City is accessible through land, air, and sea. The mode of transportation within the city is a bus service though you can drive your own car to make exploring the place an adventure. Driving around in a car hire will surely benefit you and unleash your exploratory side. Tourists, like you, will always prefer an easy and comfortable travel, thus having a car ready when you reach the airport is of big convenience to you.

As Cork City is the third most populous city in Ireland, next to Dublin and Belfast, you can expect the place to be teeming with a lot of different attractions to offer. Cork City is home to a lot of wonderful creations of architecture ranging from medieval architecture to modern and contemporary architecture. It is also home to the County Hall Tower, which is considered as the tallest building in the Republic of Ireland. The longest building is also found in Cork City called the Atkins Hall, named after its creator William Atkins.

The city also features a church tower that is open and can be rung by the public called the Shandon Tower. Other attractions in Cork City include an opera house, the Cork Opera House and a park in which a river flows through, called the Fitzgerald's Park. Two cathedrals can also be found in Cork City, namely St. Mary's Cathedral and the Church of Ireland St. Finbarre's Cathedral. If you want a more homey view of Cork City, then you can visit The English Market, which traces it origins back to 1610. As presented with these attractions, you should not fail to visit any of them and if you have limited time, why do the visiting on foot? Just board a car, enjoy the different cultural sights of Cork City and take pictures of some of the most beautiful sights there is.

The River Lee flows through the city and much of the city has many bridges and you will be crossing these very often as you travel around it. A number of the streets are actually build over former channels where ships used to traverse.

Cork City is a great place to start when visiting Ireland and you will find that there is a lot to do and see in this beautiful city. Plan to stay as long as you like as the accommodations are great and affordable and the dining is splendid. This is a wonderful place to take your family and the people there are friendly and accommodating. Be prepared to be amazed at the beauty of Cork City and its surroundings
