Birmingham is the 2nd largest city in the uk & it's a truly modern location with lively nightlife and some exciting opportunities for shopping. Birmingham is situated in the county of the west midlands &, according to a 2006 estimate, it has a population of 1,006,500.

People who are from birmingham are often dubbed 'Brummies', because of the city's nickname of Brum. this name comes from the city's dialect name, Brummagem, which is originated from one of the city's earlier names, 'Bromwicham'. there's a distinct Brummie accent, which is characteristic of people who are from this city.

Birmingham is a modern, exciting and cosmopolitan city. With lively night life, snazzy hotels, wonderful shopping opportunities and unusual tourist attractions, it is a wonderful location to visit for a short break or holiday.

Birmingham also boasts some fantastic architecture to see, which include the Bullring shopping centre. The Bullring was built at a cost of £500 million by Benoy and is a pretty, futuristic structure.

One of the best things about Birmingham has to be its great museums, galleries and attractions that are fun and interesting for the whole family. one of the finestis Dudley Zoo, which is situated next to dudly castle and has some fabulous animals who live in 40 acres of stunning gardens.

If you are a fan of shopping, you certainly will not be disappointed by city centre birmingham. From designer boutiques to small, independent boutiques, the city truly has something for everyone.

There are plenty of independent stores in the city's Custard Factory, which was constructed on the site of the old Bird's custard factory. in addition to this, you will find high-street stores in the city's Pallasades shopping centre that is situated just above new street railway station. alternatively, you could visit the city's brand-new Bullring mall, which boasts over 150 different stores for you to browse & enjoy.

If you are lucky enough to spend the night in Birmingham, you should make the most of the city's playful night life. The city boasts everything from rustic pubs and exclusive cocktail bars to major nightclubs, which means that you will discover there's things for everyone to enjoy.

It goes without saying that birmingham boasts branches of much major hotel chains including ibis and crowne plaza. This means that you can relax after your big evening out with a wonderful sleep.

As it's situated in the middle of england, getting to birmingham is simple. birmingham new street rail station offers regular rail connections to and from various places throughout great britain. as well as this, it is also easily accessed by road.

If you would like to fly to Birmingham, you could fly into Birmingham International Airport. The airport is just 5.5. miles from city centre birmingham.
