Fabulous Culture in Newcastle: Fantastic St James' Park

Newcastle has a fantastic mix of the past and the current - not so much with the equilibrium, but how all these things are laid out together to present a gorgeous picture. From the substantial fields of Newcastle, to the rightful label as the ultimate shopping city scene in the UK, you does discover this city has more peculiar yet superb locations. Newcastle has been instrumental to the country's industrial development establishing it a primary city in the region. Newcastle upon the River Tyne paints a surreal picture that can only be grasped by actually being there.

There are many places of interest when you visit Newfoundland for vacation. The City Walls, a very large and commanding surrounding wall that protected Newcastle in the 13th century, still stands in some pieces today. This is an amazing piece of history to discover! Visit the Arbeia Roman Fort and Museum and see the weapons and forts that the Romans used as far back as the first century, AD. You will also enjoy many other archaeological artefacts that have been discovered and are displayed in the museum. You can take a tour of St. James Park, which is the home of Newcastle United. See the dugouts, or be at the pitch side and take a tour throughout the whole field and changing rooms.

The 'new castle' hosts different sets of tours that include sites in and around the perimeter. You can view the chambers, galleries, other architectural and art pieces, and most of all catch a majestic view that spans across Tyne from the top of the castle. The tour is an educational experience for those who are interested in how people lived in medieval castles. After your visit to the castle, the Discovery Museum will give you the full history of the city, celebrating its achievements with various exhibits. Museum tours in Newcastle are catered to families who are looking for fun day outs. The laid back atmosphere of Newcastle inspires many tourists to learn more about this city.

One of the best things about the city of Newcastle is the wide variety of food and drink available. For a quick and easy bite, try Dene's Deli for a huge selection of menu items. Like to sit outside and enjoy a meal? Stop in at Neon Café and Brasserie, for a casual meal of fresh pastries, sandwiches, and more. Breakfast is even served all day here!

For an elegant lunch or dinner, try Gusto, located on Newcastle's Quayside. Try their spectacular sea bass with orange and fennel, or their mouth-watering, fresh lobster. They also offer a wide variety of cocktails, beers, and wines at their large stand-alone bar. While you are there, have their Mucho Gusto, their famous signature drink.

Certainly the best entertainment in Newcastle comes from St. James Park. Whenever Newcastle United Football clubs play a match, all the fans and the townspeople are involved in it. Everyone supports the players through thick and thin. Michael Owen, for example, has gone through a series of injuries, but the Newcastle fans still believe that he is the answer to their striker problems. Another example is Obafemi Martins, who after being rejected by FC Barcelona, was housed by the warm Newcastle crowd. An apt final example is Joey Barton, who always has court cases for assault. Both the Newcastle manager and the Newcastle fans still stand by him and support him during rough times.

When it comes to entertainment, there's nothing more entertaining than the excitement of Newcastle football, along with the warm crowd that can appreciate the human aspect of the athletes.

All in all, Newcastle is definitely a good town to visit for fans of football and common tourists alike. A lot of the events in the city are based around the only football club in Newcastle and that makes the city more or less a football crazy place. The Tyne Bridge is also nice to visit, as it is a wonderful feat in architecture and should endear fans of such structures and common people alike.
