Fiji Islands is perhaps the most popular tourist spot in the South Pacific. Situated in the South West Pacific and located about 3000 kilometers east of Australia and about 2000 kilometers south of the Equator, the archipelagic nation of Fiji is made up of more than 300 islands as well as about 500 islets. Each of the islands in Fiji is noted for its magical landscape comprising stupendous beaches, isolated beaches, rugged highlands, magnificent coral reefs, cool warm waters, astounding marine life, lush rain forest areas, and scenic cocoa and sugarcane plantations.
Further, Fiji is noted for its ethnicity, and is home to a unique culture, which in turn is an interesting mix of Polynesian, Melanesian, Micronesian, European, Indian, and Chinese cultures. Once referred to as the 'Cannibal Isles,' Fiji has now become one of the friendliest destinations in the world, which welcome people from across the world with open arms and beautiful smiles. In short, Fiji is truly an island paradise, offering a range of options to cater to all types of visitors, no matter you are honeymooners, family vacationers, or lovers who are here to celebrate such special occasions as Valentines Day.
Sprawling over an area of about 10500 square kilometers, Viti Levu is the largest as well as the most populous of all islands in Fiji. Beautiful cities, incredible resorts, tropical mountains, meandering rivers, scintillating waterfalls, traditional villages, and best dive sites- all sum up the island of Viti Levu.
In addition, it is also home to the capital city of Suva. The political as well as the commercial center of the Fiji Islands, Suva boasts of attractions such as Fiji Museum, which has some interesting artifacts; the Government House, which once served as the residence of colonial governors and presently the residence of the president of Fiji; Fiji Spice Gardens, where a range of spices can be seen such as cardamom, nutmeg, and vanilla; Colo-I-Suva Forest Park, a beautiful forest park; and Thurston Gardens - the nation's first botanical garden.
Situated about 70 kilometers north of the Viti Levu is another much popular island in the Fiji, namely, Vanua Levu. This island provides great opportunity to experience the real life of the Fijians. Among the prominent town in the island are Labasa, which is on the north coast and Savusavu to the south.
Popular spots in Fiji also include Taveuni, which is alternatively known as the Garden Island, due to aplenty of exotic as well as colorful tropical flowers and plants. Just few among many of the attractions in the island is Bouma National Heritage Park, whose highlight is the Bouma falls; Lavena Nature Reserve, where you can see some of the most magnificent waterfalls as well as pristine rainforests of Fiji; Waitavala Waterslide, which is a great destination for seeking fun.

In addition, Taveuni is also a popular spot for an active vacation, with superb options to enjoy an array of activities such as bird watching, snorkelling, and scuba diving, boasting of options including the Rainbow Reef and Vuna Reef.
A trip to Fiji would not be complete without taking a tour to Kadavu, which is located to the south of the main island of Viti Levu. Majority of this island is covered by rainforests, and contains several towering mountains, beautiful waterfalls, and incredible beaches. The key attraction of Kadavu is undoubtedly its pristine natural beauty. Among the highlights of the island are Daku Beach, Waisalima Beach, Great Astrolabe Reef, and Vunisea. Further, a range of activities can be enjoyed here, such as, scuba diving, kayaking, trekking, bird watching, and surfing.
